Anzac Day – BC Footy Cup

This Saturday is the prestigious BC Footy Cup, in a tournament out at Burnaby’s home field in Langley against the Eagles, Cougars, West Coast Saints, Seattle Grizzlies, and Calgary Kangaroos. All are welcome! Bring the family out for a full day of footy! Food, such as hotdogs, drinks and chips will be available for purchase. After the days proceedings all are invited back to the Eagles major sponsor Moose’s Down Under for presentations and beers.

A massage therapist from Legacies Sports Massage will be on hand for pre and post game massages. Cost is $20 for 15 minutes.

ANZAC Day at the MCG – Wouldn’t you love to be there?

Well you can! This Friday night, April 24, the Magpies take on the Bombers in the traditional ANZAC Day game. See the game live at Moose’s Down Under from 9pm. The Eagles are encouraging as many players, friends and family of the club to get along to Moose’s to watch the big game. Get there early to make sure you don’t miss a minute of one of the best traditions in Australian Football.

NHL Sweep

The Burnaby Eagles are running a sweep for the NHL playoffs. It will cost $5 a team and there are 16 teams. We will run 2 sweeps to give everyone a chance to enter.
The winner of each sweep will get $40 and the rest will go towards the end of season trip in Las Vegas. If you want a team(s) please email Belly asap at mattbell22@hotmail.com.
It will be first in first served. You can buy as many teams as you like. Teams will be picked out of a hat on thursday night after training.

Round 3 of the NWPAFL takes place at UBC (same as Round 1) (View Map). The Eagles take on the Irish Harps at 3:15pm. The early game is between North Delta Bay Hawks and Vancouver Cougars.

All players need to be at the ground no later than 2:00pm but preferably for the early game.

Once again family and friends of the Eagles should attend to support the players.
